HS Boys Basketball….

Hoopeston Area pulled an upset last night – beating the previously undefeated Milford Bearcats 51 – 44.  Mason Layden scored 12 of his team-high 14 points in the 3rd quarter.  The Cornjerkers had 18 steals and forced 23 Milford turnovers.  Alex Portwood lead the Bearcats with 18 points. 

Bismarck-Henning beat Armstrong-Potomac 57 – 36

Chrisman beat Schlarman 64 – 34

Westville got by Geo-RF 51 – 42

Salt Fork rallied to beat Oakwood 48 – 46

HS Girls Basketball…..

Hoopeston Area won their 2nd game in a row, beating Milford at home 36 – 34. 

HS Wrestling…

Bismarck-Henning beat Unity 45 – 15. 


The Detroit Lions hired Jim Caldwell as their new Head Coach.  Caldwell last NFL head coaching job was with the Colts from 2009-2011.

Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy was named the NFL’s 2013 Rookie of the Year and Chicago Bears guard Kyle Long made the all-rookie team announced Tuesday by the Professional Football Writers of America.


Paul George scored 31 points, making four 3-pointers, to lead the Pacers to a 116-92 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night.
