College Basketball…

Arizona and Syracuse are 1-2 in The Associated Press poll for the eighth consecutive week.  Florida jumped from sixth to third, while Wichita State (21-0), the other undefeated Division I team, moved up one spot to fourth.  San Diego State and Kansas both moved up two places to fifth and sixth.
They were followed by Michigan State, which dropped from third, Oklahoma State, Villanova and Michigan.
Michigan jumped from No. 21 to that #10 spot with an impressive streak against ranked teams. The Wolverines have won three straight games against top-10 teams—Wisconsin, Iowa and Michigan State.

#8 Oklahoma State lost to #23 Oklahoma 88 – 76

#9 Villanova got by Georgetown 65 - 60

#17 Duke beat #18 Pitt 80 – 65


Bulls lost to the Timberwolves 95 – 86.

OKC beat Atlanta 111 – 109
LA Clippers handled Milwaukee 114 – 86

Toronto Raptors snuck by Brooklyn 104 – 103

Phoenix 124 – Philadelphia 113

Utah beat Sacramento 106 - 99


Former Bismarck-Henning standout Michael Davan claimed his first professional golf tournament for the 2014 season on Monday.  Davan shot a 5-under 67 at the Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Club in Sarasota to win the one-day tournament as part of the West Florida Golf Tour.
