The White Sox homered four times to back a solid outing by Jake Peavy in a 5-2 victory over Kansas City on Wednesday.

The Cubs lost to the Pirates 3 – 0

St. Louis lost to Arizona 10 – 9 in 16 innings

Richard Pitino…son of Final Four-bound head coaching legend Rick Pitino – will be the next head coach of Minnesota.  Pitino replaced Isiah Thomas at FIU and coached the Golden Panthers to a 11-9 record in the Sun Belt conference.

Rutgers fired basketball coach Mike Rice on Wednesday after a videotape aired on ESPN showing him shoving, grabbing and throwing balls at players and using gay slurs during practices.
