The White Sox beat the Indians 3 – 1

The Cardinals lost to the Brewers in 10, 4 – 3

Cubs lost to the Giants 10 – 7 in 10 innings

..and the Cubs and the City of Chicago finally reached an agreement on a $500 million overhaul of Wrigley Field – a deal which includes adding more night games, and installing the ballpark’s first-ever electronic scoreboard.


The Heat out-muscled the Bulls 103 – 95

New York beat Indiana 90 – 80

other NBA winners on Sunday:  Dallas, Denver, Philadelphia, Toronto, Houston, and the LA Lakers

Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant had surgery on Saturday afternoon to repair the torn Achilles tendon in his left leg and is expected to need six to nine months to recover.


National Player of the Year Trey Burke of Michigan joins the growing list of Big Ten players leaving school early to enter the NBA draft.  The 6-foot sophomore point guard averaged 18.6 points and 6.7 assists per game in 2012-13.


Kyle Busch won the Nationwide and Sprint Cup series races this weekend in Texas.


Adam Scott won the Masters after the 2-hole playoff against Angel Cabrera.
