Here’s Your WHPO Summer Sports Minute…..
The Heat beat the Pacers 90 – 79 to take a 3-2 Eastern Conference Finals series lead.
The Cubs beat the White Sox 8 – 3. A game that saw Cubs pitcher Travis Wood hit a grand slam to help his cause
Kansas City beat St. Louis 4 – 2 – the day 13-time all-star George Brett joined the Royals staff as hitting coach.
Good luck to the Vermilion Valley Conference’s own Salt Fork Storm baseball team as they have advanced to the Class 1A Final Four. The Storm play Granville Putnam County today at 10 am in Peoria.
