Patrick Kane scored two goals, Corey Crawford made 24 saves and the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Boston Bruins 3-1 on Saturday night to move within one victory of their second championship in four years. Game 6 is tonight in Boston
The Los Angeles Clippers have agreed in principle to a deal with the Celtics for coach Doc Rivers, pending league approval. The Clippers will sign Rivers to a three-year, $21 million contract. They will send a 2015 first-round pick as compensation to the Celtics, who have agreed to release the coach from the three years, $21 million he has remaining on his deal with the club.
Cardinals lost to the Rangers 2-1 late last night after a 3-hr rain delay.
Cubs beat the Astros 14 – 6
White Sox lost to the Royals 7 – 6
Martin Truex Jr. won Sunday’s Toyota/Save Mart 350 in Sonoma, CA for his first win in 218 races and his second Sprint Cup win overall.

• Major League Soccer’s Chicago Fire will host a camp for ages 3-high school July 8-12 right here in Hoopeston. This unique opportunity brings professional soccer players and coaches to Hoopeston for individualized instruction. The camp fee includes a dri-fit t-shirt, ball, and a free ticket for the player to a Chicago Fire game. The cost is one-third the cost of area 4 day soccer camps. Hoopeston Cornjerker football camp for grades 3-12 will be held July 22-25 at the high school practice field behind the bus parking lot. Grades 3-6 will practice from
