Here’s Your WHPO Summer Sports Minute…...
Bryan Bickell and Dave Bolland scored 17 seconds apart in the final 1:16 of regulation and the Chicago Blackhawks staged a stunning rally to win Game 6 of the Stanley Cup finals 3-2 on Monday night for their second NHL championship in four seasons.
Jonathan Toews returned from injury to add a goal, and Corey Crawford made 23 saves for the Hawks. Patrick Kane was voted the series MVP.
The Cubs, Cardinals & White Sox all had the day off yesterday.
Brian Shaw was hired as the coach of the Denver Nuggets on Monday.
Shaw will replace George Karl, the NBA’s reigning Coach of the Year who led the Nuggets to a 57-win regular season but was fired following Denver’s opening-round elimination in the playoffs.
Reminder…..SUMMER SPORT CAMPS:
