Here’s Your WHPO Summer Sports Minute…...


Major League Baseball will seek to suspend about 20 players connected to the Miami-area clinic at the heart of an ongoing performance-enhancing drug scandal, including Alex Rodriguez and Ryan Braun, possibly within the next few weeks.  If the suspensions are upheld, the performance-enhancing drug scandal would be the largest in American sports history.

Cardinals lost to the Diamondbacks 7 – 6 in 14 innings

Cubs lost to the Angels 4 - 3

White Sox lost to the Mariners 7 - 4


the LA Kings beat the Chicago Blackhawks 3 -1 last night.  Chicago leads that Western Conference Finals series 2 games to 1.


Roger Federer was eliminated while Serena Williams advanced at the French Open.
