Joyce A. Watson, 81, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 8:49 P.M. Wednesday August 8, 2018, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. She was born April 8, 1937, in Wellington, IL, the daughter of Lem and Faye (Highfill) Carter. She married Arnold Watson on September 5, 1953 in Danville, IL. He survives.
She is also survived by one daughter, Jodie (Jim) Sollars of Wellington, IL; two sons, Danny (Donna) Watson of Hoopeston, IL and Tim (Donna) Watson of Hoopeston, IL; one sister, Judie Rush of Hoopeston, IL; 6 grandchildren, Chad (Kaylee) Watson, Jason (Jess) Watson, Abby (Nate) Johnson, Jamie (Josh) Miller, Kelsey (Matt) Daniel, and Kaylee Sollars; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Joseph Watson.
Joyce worked in the activity department at the Hoopeston Nursing Home. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
Per her wishes, she will be cremated, and no services will be held.
