Jesse David Hatchett, of Rossville IL, 29

Jesse David Hatchett, of Rossville IL, loving father and son, found his peace at the age of 29. His story began in Ely, NV on November 29, 1989.   A blue eyed, tow head baby boy was born to James and Mary Bainbridge Hatchett.

Jesse was very inquisitive as a child. Always taking his toys apart to see how they worked. Sometimes he got them put back together, sometimes he didn’t. It didn’t matter, they had served their purpose.

Jesse attended Rossville-Alvin and Bismarck-Henning schools.  In his early teens he played baseball and ran track. While in junior high, Jesse put Rossville on the map by breaking records and taking Rossville-Alvin to state. You can bet when there was mischief to be had him and his cousins were right in the middle of it.

Jesse was an exceptionally creative artist. Any empty space where ink or paint could go was soon filled with intense imagination and brilliance. Jesse also liked to go fishing with his mother and enjoyed the outdoors. He liked collecting rocks and would spend hours searching for them.

Jesse had his trials, as we all do, but through it all his heart was always kind. He went out of his way to make people laugh.  He had an infectious giggle that one couldn’t help but laugh right along with. Jesse loved his children with all his heart. Greyson would always tell him “Daddy, you are my superhero.”

Jesse is preceded in death by his grandparents Bill and Sally Bainbridge of Rossville, IL and his cousin Christopher Morin of Alvin, IL.

Jesse is survived by his mother, Mary Bainbridge Hatchett, of Rossville, IL. His father James Hatchett of Knoxville,  TN, a daughter, Isabella,  a son, Greyson, a brother Jory Young, and his grandparents Jim and Angela Hatchett of Snead,  AL. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jesse’s presence will be deeply missed but his memory and the way he loved his family will forever be with us.

A Celebration of Jesse’s Life will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2019, at the Morning Star Church, in Rossville.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Jesse’s life.  Memories or photos may be shared with the family on his everlasting memorial page at: www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.
