Dorothy Florence Edson, 89, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away on Sunday December 22, 2019 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.  She was born July 8, 1930, in Irvington, NJ, the daughter of Herbert and Leona (Ott) Metz.  She married Tunis H. Edson in Tuxedo, NY in 1960.  He preceded her in death.
She is survived by one daughter, Sherry (Mark) Klemme of Hoopeston, IL; one son, Brad (Denise) Edson of Westtown, NY; one sister, Joan Blankenhorn of Closter, NJ; 4 grandchildren; and 3 nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Dorothy was a homemaker.  She also enjoyed caring for animals.

Cremation rites will be accorded, and no services will be held.
