James Alan Wolfe, 71, of Oxford, IN

James Alan Wolfe, 71, of Oxford, IN, passed away at 2:52 P.M. Friday May 15, 2020 at his daughter’s home in Medaryville, IN.  He was born April 5, 1949 in Lafayette, IN, the son of Ralph “Muggs” and Edith “Caroline” (Finch) Wolfe.  They survive in Oxford, IN.

 

He is also survived by two daughters, Rebecca (Christopher) Shepperd of Medaryville, IN and Elizabeth (Scott) Dadacz of Boswell, IN; one sister, Lynn (Rick) Boehle of Oxford, IN; five grandchildren, Jacob, Jackson, Kearra, Crisney, and Savannah; one niece, Chanel Boehle; and one nephew, Jeremie Boehle.

 

James was a retired carpenter from the Carpenter’s Union Local #215 of Lafayette, IN.  He served in the United States Navy from 1968 – 1970 and was a Vietnam veteran.  He was a member of the Lafayette VFW Post #1154, the American Legion Post #57 in Fowler, and was a former member of the Ouiatenon Sportman’s Club in Lafayette.

 

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. EDT on Thursday May 21, 2020 at Justus Cemetery in Oxford, IN.  Military rites will be accorded by the Fowler Amvets Post #102.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of James Wolfe to the Honor Flight Network, Box L-4016, Columbus, OH 43260-4016; the American Legion Post #57, 400 E. 5th St., Fowler, IN 47944; or the VFW Post #1154, 2660 Duncan Road, Lafayette, IN 47904.
