Rollin "Jim" James Goodhue, 60, of Potomac

Rollin “Jim” James Goodhue, 60, of Potomac, passed away at 2:50 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Hawthorne Inn, in Danville.

Jim was born on July 12, 1961, in Paris, Illinois, the son of Lawrence Lee and Carolyn Jean (Henry) Goodhue Sr.  He is survived by his mother- Carolyn Goodhue of Potomac; three children- Taylor (Jacob) Beitz of Danville, Jeromy Creamer Sr. of Bismarck and Aaron (Hannah Ritter) Goodhue of Danville; two brothers- Lawrence “Larry” (Judy) Goodhue JR. of Tilton and David (Teresa) Goodhue of Edwardsville; two sisters- Brenda (Ed) John of Fithian and Clarenda (Travis) Taylor of Potomac; aunt- Kate Potter of Ohio; cousins- Marvin and Susan Goodhue of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; the Long and McElhoe families, who he was very close with.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Jim graduated from Armstrong High School.  He enjoyed farming and worked as a farm hand for years.  He also enjoyed driving his car around town and watching his nieces and nephews play sports.

A Celebration of Jim’s Life will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2022, at the Potomac Community Building, 310 West State Street, Potomac, with food and refreshments being served.  Cremation rites have been accorded and he will be laid to rest in Embury Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Potomac Grade School or Hawthorne Inn, in Danville.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Jim’s life.  Condolences may be shared with the family on his everlasting memorial page at: www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.
