Stephen Eugene Johnson, 57, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away on Wednesday December 7, 2022, at his home. He was born August 28, 1965, in Chicago, IL, the son of Bobby Lee and Lois Jean (Meek) Johnson. They preceded him in death.
He is survived by three brothers, Gary, Jack, and Bobby Johnson.
Stephen was known for frequenting many businesses in downtown Hoopeston. His favorite places included 112 Wine and Coffee Shoppe, Mr. B’s Café, and Pizza King, where the owners and staff treated him like family. He enjoyed watching sports, drinking coffee, and attending services with his church family at New Beginnings Church in Hoopeston.
A visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. Wednesday December 14, 2022, at New Beginnings Church, 204 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL. The funeral service will follow the visitation and will begin at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the church with the New Beginnings Ministry Team officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.
