Jackie Ray “Jack” Crawford, 70, of rural Williamsport, IN, passed away at 6:13 P.M. Wednesday June 7, 2023, at his home. He was born August 8, 1952, in Watseka, IL, the son of Frank and Estella Pearl (Cox) Crawford. He married Marilyn Sue Gray on June 17, 1989, in Danville, IL. She survives in rural Williamsport, IN.
He is also survived by one daughter, Amanda Lynn (John) Bowers; one stepson, Michael Wayne Ponder; three sisters, Marcella “Jacki” Crawford-Romine of Concord, NC, Melissa “Missy” (Elroy) Crawford-Huckleby of Lafayette, IN, and Melinda (Steve) Crawford of Bismarck, IL; three brothers, Frank (Darla) Crawford of Hoopeston, IL, Alan (Selena) Crawford of Hoopeston, IL, and Mark Crawford of Largo, FL; one granddaughter, Izabella Bowers; and one special nephew, Randy Wilson of Concord, NC.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Travis Lee Crawford; his in-laws, Mary and Delbert Hansbrough; two sisters, Marsha Wilburn and Maria Crawford; one niece, Lori Dawn Gress; one nephew, Frank Crawford III, and one stepson, Jimmy Ponder.
Jack worked at Wabash as a forklift driver and later at Flex-N-Gate until his retirement. He enjoyed mushroom hunting and loved helping others do odd jobs, especially electrical work. Most of all, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Per his wishes, he will be cremated, and no services will be held.
