Maggie Sue Strawser, 35, of State Line City, IN, formerly of Hoopeston

Maggie Sue Strawser, 35, of State Line City, IN, formerly of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 10:18 A.M. Sunday August 20, 2023, in Danville, IL. She was born July 11, 1988, in Champaign, IL, the daughter of Richard “Dick” Strawser and Kimberley (Adams) Strawser.

She is survived by her parents; one son, Emmerie Lopez; two sisters, Bridget and Olivia Strawser; one brother, Richard Strawser; paternal grandmother, Inge Kent; maternal grandparents, Eugene Adams and Beverly Licciardo; two nieces; and four nephews.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Richard Strawser Sr; two aunts, Gwen Mattox and Elizabeth Bishop; and one uncle, Zachary Block.

Maggie graduated high school in Clinton, WI, and then attended DACC studying radiology. She later worked at Waffle House in Vidor, TX. She enjoyed graphic arts and playing volleyball and basketball.

A visitation will be held 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Tuesday August 29, 2023, at Anderson Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL. The funeral service will follow the visitation and will begin at 12:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Micah Mobley officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.

Memorial donations may be made to a fund set up for Maggie’s son, Emmerie Lopez, C/O First Financial, 323 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL 60942.
