William Michael “Billy G” Green, 53, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 7:40 P.M. Saturday September 2, 2023, at his home. He was born November 11, 1969, in Watseka, IL, the son of William Melvin Green Sr. and Mildred Mae (Marks) Lane.
He is survived by one daughter, Jordan (Tyler) Merrill of Oakwood, IL; five sisters, JoAnne Gress, Robin Watts, Gail (Brian) Boyd, Mary (Joe) Perez, and Cammy Baird; three grandchildren, Eli, Braydin, and Kathryn; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and four siblings, William Melvin Green Jr., Karen Anderson, Cathy Craft, and Shirley Lindsey.
Billy worked at Schumacher Electric in Hoopeston for several years and enjoyed building model cars.
Cremation rites will be accorded, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
