Tamara Gail “Tami” Hathaway, 64, of Rossville, IL, passed away at 3:05 A.M. Wednesday September 6, 2023, at Carle Hoopeston Regional Health Center. She was born July 9, 1959, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Glen Sellers and Patsy (Fehr) Draper. She married Philip Hathaway on April 24, 1992, at the Rossville United Methodist Church. He survives in Rossville, IL.
She is also survived by one son, Parker Lewis (Hannah) Hathaway of Danville, IL; two sisters, Cindy (Jay Evans) Sellers-Evans of Rossville, IL and Brenda Paxton of Cissna Park, IL; one brother, Randy (Brigitte) Sellers of Buckley, IL; one sister-in-law, Mary Lou McGinnis of Quincy, IL; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; maternal grandparents, Ed and Marie Fehr; paternal grandparents, Robert and Grace Sellers; one sister, Kim Welch; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Tami was the former owner of Antiques and Stuff Shop and The Village Pub. She most recently was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of the Rossville United Methodist Church where she was very active, serving as a former Trustee of the church and officer of the Rossville United Methodist Women. Tami enjoyed planting and caring for flowers, shopping for and refinishing furniture, and hosting holiday gatherings.
A visitation will be held 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Friday September 15, 2023, at Rossville United Methodist Church, 116 Maple St., Rossville, IL. The funeral service will follow the visitation and will begin at 1:00 P.M. Friday September 15th, at the church with Pastor Chris Quick officiating. Burial will follow at Mann’s Chapel in rural Rossville, IL.
