John Wilson Cramer, 73, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 8:40 P.M. Monday January 22, 2024, at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Living in Hoopeston. He was born October 23, 1950, in Danville, IL, the son of Lloyd Raymond “Bud” and Lois Faye (Carter) Cramer. He married Sandra Irene Goodrum on February 26, 1971, in Hoopeston. She survives in Hoopeston.
He is also survived by one son, Casey W. (Amber) Cramer of Watseka, IL; and one granddaughter, Summer Faye Cramer of Canton, GA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; one sister, Melody Cramer Rickart; and one niece, Brandi Rickart.
John worked at Silver Bros. in Hoopeston for several years and later at Milestone Construction in Lafayette, IN, until his retirement in March of 2016. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and attending his granddaughter, Summer’s, sporting events.
Visitation will be held 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. Friday January 26, 2024, at Anderson Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday January 27, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.
