Details: HFD responded to the report of a fire alarm.  After investigation, it was decided that it was a false alarm activated by the storm.  

 

 

Recovery of Stolen Vehicle, Missing Juveniles (2), Possession of Stolen Vehicle

Time: 05:05 AM V17-6336      H17-2264

Location: South 2nd Av/W Chestnut St 

Juv #1: 16 year old Milford Male 

Juv #2: 15 year old Hoopeston Male

Details: The 2 juveniles escaped custody of a facility in Kankakee County, then stolen a truck that they drove to Hoopeston.   Were then seen acting suspiciously, when approach one juvenile ran and other juvenile surrendered.  Juvenile #1 was transferred to Iroquois County custody and Juvenile #2 was transferred to Vermilion County JDC per the probation department.

Location: 700 block of S. 6th Ave

Complaint: Hoopeston Female

Details: Complainant contacted HPD when she came home and found that person(s) unknown had hit her vehicle and left the scene. Investigation continues.
