Hoopeston Police Department Report 2/12/2018

Wanted on Warrant; Driving While License Suspended
Time: 12:18am
Location: 1000 block of S. Dixie Highway
Arrested: Joseph Martinico (47) of Hoopeston
Details: After conducting a routine traffic stop a computer check revealed that Mr. Martinico did not have a valid driver’s license and also had an outstanding warrant through Ford County. Subject was taken to HPD where he was processed and later transported to the PSB to await extradition. 
 
 
Traffic Accident (Minor PI) H18-0747
Time: 11:56 AM
Location: 800 block E Seminary Avenue Hoopeston 
Unit 1: 2010 Ford Utility driven by Jessica Lange (F) (35) of Hoopeston
Unit 2: 2005 Ford Escape driven by Katherine E Rigdon-Mikel of Rossville (F) (45)
Details:  Hoopeston Police was requested to investigate an accident that occurred at the above location.  Unit #1 was traveling northbound on 8th St when it approached the intersection of E. Seminary.  Due to extremely icy road and slope of the road, 
Unit #1 slid into the path of Unit #2, who was traveling eastbound on Seminary.  Both units were insured. Arrow EMS was dispatched for minor injuries.  Unit #2 was cited for No Valid Registration.

Time: 3:26pm
Location: 600 blk W Orange
Unit 1: 2007 Chevrolet 4D driven by Corey Legan (M)(27) of Cissna Park
Unit 2: 2007 Dodge Pickup driven by Ryley Watson (M)(18) of Rossville
Details: HPD officers responded to an accident at the above location.  Both Unit 1 and
Unit 2 were traveling westbound on W Orange St.  Unit 2 slowed down due to 
traffic when Unit 1 failed to reduce speed to avoid an accident and struck Unit 2.
No injuries were reported, no citations issued and both units were insured.
