Location: Main and 3rd Street

Arrested: Kurtis J Simpson (33) of Hoopeston

Details: Officers responded to the above location on March 14, 2018 for an occupied 

vehicle looking suspicious.  Upon arrival Simpson did not comply to 

officer’s orders to exit the vehicle, instead Simpson drove away leading

officers on a pursuit.  At one point Simpson left the roadway and struck

a large bush.  Simpson immediately left on foot.  Officers were unable to

locate Simpson until March 24, 2018 where he was taken into custody.

Location: 600 blk E McCracken

Arrested: Kurtis J Simpson (33) of Hoopeston

Details: At the above date and time Simpson was taken into custody in 

reference to an incident that occurred on March 23, 2018 on the

500 blk E Penn, when Simpson did not comply with officer’s request

to stop and talk to him about investigation of H18-1248. He was 

transported to HPD and released with NTA in Hoopeston city court.
