Details: At the above time, HPD officers responded with Arrow Ambulance to a female who was unresponsive and had been battered. Through the initial investigation, several subjects came forward advising that they had also been battered. An investigation continues and report forwarded to the Vermilion County States Attorney Office for possible charges.

 

Hit and Run Accident H20-0838

Unit #1: 1999 Dodge Pickup driven by Joshua Hasbargen (26) (M) of Hoopeston

Unit #2: Guide wire owned by Frontier Communications

Details: At the time of report, HPD officers were called out in reference to damage to

the guide wire of a utility pole. An investigation found, Mr. Hasbargen to be

the driver of Unit #1. He advised that while exiting the alleyway, he turned

too tight and the side of his truck made contact with the guide wire. Mr.

Hasbargen was cited for Operating an Uninsured Vehicle, Leaving the Scene of

an Accident, and No Valid Driver’s License and given a date for traffic court.
