Vermilion County Covid 19 update10/30/21

Vermilion County New Case Counts

10/25 – 10/29:  We had 235 new cases and 260 were released.  Of the 235 new cases, 14 were vaccinated.  We currently have 16 people hospitalized.  Two cases were breakthrough cases and zero were reinfections.

88 cases – Under the age of 20
99 cases – Ages 20-49
48 cases – Ages 50 and above

We were informed of 4 additional deaths this week:  A gentlewoman in her 30s, a gentlewoman in her 50s, a gentleman in his 70s, and a gentleman in his 60s.  Our thoughts go out to their friends and family.



This brings our total number of deaths to 200.

Vaccine Clinic Updates



There are quite a few opportunities to receive your COVID19 Vaccine / Booster (please bring your vaccination cards and ID)



  *   Mark Denman Elementary School:  October 30th from 4-7pm; Pfizer only.  (no appointment needed)
  *   Oakwood Public Library:  October 30th from 9am-12pm.  All COVID19 Vaccines will be available – Boosters too! (no appointment needed)
  *   VCHD:  We are offering Moderna Boosters on November 4th (appointments ONLY) – continue to check the website in case of any openings due to cancellations.  www.vchd.org<http://www.vchd.org>
  *   DACC at Bremer Conference Center:  November 5th and November 10th from 9am-3pm.  All COVID Vaccines for BOOSTERS! (No appointment needed)
  *   East Central Illinois Community Action Agency at 56 North Vermilion St:  November 5th, 2nd dose Pfizer 12pm – 4pm.
  *   Carle  - call for an appointment or go online beginning November 1st for Booster Vaccines
  *   Local Pharmacies -  make appointments online, check to see if they have the vaccine you need:  1st Dose / 2nd Dose / 3rd Dose / Booster  I have heard that you can get in and out of the pharmacies in less than 10 minutes for vaccines (depending on how busy they are).



I have had A LOT of businesses and organizations reach out to get onsite clinics and I will keep you all aware of any that are open to the public!  This is a GREAT opportunity for the clinics come to you and they can offer all types of the COVID19 vaccine.
