Hoopeston Police Report 4/10/2024

Delayed Entry Traffic Accident H24-1763 Date: 4/8/2024 Time: 6:01 pm Location: N Market St. and E McCracken Ave. Unit 1: 1998 Oldsmobile Driven by: Jane Powell (53) of Wellington Unit 2: 2003 Buick Lesabre Driven by: Ernest Hurt (95) of Hoopeston Details: Unit 2 was turning left when Unit 1 attempted to pass Unit 2 which stuck the side of Unit 1. No tickets were issued, no injuries were reported. Traffic Accident / Fire Call (Disobeying Traffic Control Device) (Stop Sign) H24-1774 Time: 12:09pm Location: W Orange St. and S 2nd Ave. Unit 1: 2020 Chevrolet Equinox Driven by: Orlena Gossett (82) of Hoopeston Unit 2: 2016 Kia Rio Driven by: Anixa Amador (26) of Hoopeston Cited: Orlena Gossett (82) of Hoopeston (Unit 1) Details: Unit 1 was at the stop sign at S 2nd Ave and W Orange St. and turned to travel East, striking Unit 2. Hoopeston Fire and Hoopeston Arrow were called to the scene due to the passenger of Unit 1 experiencing pain. Unit 2 also had a passenger that was experiencing pain, who was transported to Hoopeston Carle for further evaluation. Unit 1 received a citation for disobeying a traffic control device. Unit 2 had to be towed away from the scene. Wanted on Vermilion County Warrant (23CM0177) H24-1783 2024-2628 Time: 5:19 pm Location: 300 block of E Thompson Ave. Arrested: Andrew S. Prattis (33) of Hoopeston Details: HPD Officers observed Mr. Prattis in the above area. A computer check showed Mr. Prattis to have an active Vermilion County Warrant, Mr. Prattis was transported to the Hoopeston Police Department where he was processed and later taken to the Public Safety Building in Danville. HOOPESTON POLICE Tuesday April 9, 2024 2 Traffic Accident H24-1786 Time: 5:37 pm Location: 226 N Market St. (Hoopeston Health and Fitness) Unit 1: 2010 Ford F150 Driven by: Heather Bridgeman (45) of Hoopeston Unit 2: 2016 Nissan Rouge Owned by: Gilberto Barera (20) of Indiana Details: Unit 1 was backing out from a parking space when she backed into Unit 2 which was parked on the side of N Market St. Both Units were insured and no tickets or injuries were reported
