Looking for support in managing diabetes? In partnership with OSF Healthcare, join Illinois Extension for a monthly diabetes support group designed for individuals living with diabetes and their caregivers.Sessions will take place at Danville Public Library (319 N Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61832) on the second Tuesday of the month from May to December from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M., running May 12 through December 8.Each session will include a short educational component and open discussion. Topics are not preset and will be guided on participant interest. This welcoming space offers an opportunity to connect with others, share experiences, and learn practical strategies for everyday living.Sessions:May 12June 9July 14August 11September 8October 13November 10December 8

Watseka American Legion – Post 23 invites all citizens and veterans of the area to attend the 2026 Memorial Service at the Veteran’s Memorial in Legion Park. The memorial service will be conducted on May 25th at 11:00 am. If your family lost a member of the military in the line of duty, or has a Veteran of the military that has since died, then this service will be a wonderful way to honor their service and sacrifice.The memorial service will consist of our military branch flag presentation, Pledge of Allegiance to our American Flag, opening comments and key note speech, and a rifle salute to all deceased and missing military veterans by the Watseka American Legion Honor Guard. We encourage all participants to bring lawn chairs, as seating is limited at the memorial.The service will conclude with a free light lunch at the Legion Hall, courtesy of the Watseka American Legion and Watseka American Legion Auxiliary.
