Lois F. Cramer, 88, of Hoopeston, IL., passed this world on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 1:30 in the afternoon surrounded by her family and in the loving care of the nurses at HCRH and the IMH Hospice. Lois was born June 18, 1929, the daughter of Azzie and Buelah (Martin) Carter. She married Lloyd (Bud) Cramer on July 2, 1950 in Watseka, IL.
She is survived by her son, John (Sandy) Cramer of Hoopeston, IL.; her son-in-law, Robert (Dorothy) Rickart Jr.; her grandson, Casey (Amber) Cramer of Watseka, IL.; and her great granddaughter, Summer Cramer of Watseka, IL., and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd (Bud) Cramer, two sisters, two brothers, her daughter Melody Rickart, and her granddaughter Brandi Rickart.
She worked for the Hoopeston School system as a secretary at Lincoln Grade School, Honeywell Grade School, and John Greer Grade School until her retirement.
Lois was an avid gardener, loved to crochet hand towels, do craft work, and crossword puzzles. Her favorite pastime was sitting in the front row watching her great granddaughter, Summer play basketball, and sitting in a lawn chair watching her play softball and all the bragging rights that went with it.
A visitation will be held 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Lloyd Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston, IL.
