Wallis A. Brockman “Wally” Wisdom, 83, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 1:00 A.M. Friday September 14, 2018 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. He was born October 3, 1934, in Cofer, KY, the son of Elijah and Kizzie Marie (Jessie) Wisdom. He married Betty Jane Field on September 8, 1952 in St. Joseph, MI. She survives in Hoopeston.
He is also survived by two daughters, Sharon (Andy) Delashmit of Oceanside, CA and Kathy (Brad) Cox of Hoopeston, IL; three sons, Stephen (Robin) Wisdom of Mesquite, TX, Kenneth (Chris) Wisdom of Hoopeston, IL, and Scott (Connie) Wisdom of Hoopeston, IL; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Wally worked at FMC in Hoopeston until his retirement and later worked at Schumacher Electric. He attended the Chestnut Street Church of Christ in Hoopeston. He enjoyed raising Shih Tzu dogs, boating, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren.
A visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Tuesday September 18, 2018 at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday September 19, 2018 at the funeral home, with Pastor John Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.
