Crystal Joan “Cookie” Nelson, 61, of Kankakee, IL, passed away at 5:25 P.M. Thursday January 3, 2019 in Kankakee, IL.  She was born May 22, 1957, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Lucy Floyd Cross.

She is survived by her mother; two sisters, Patricia Pickett of Hoopeston, IL and Pamela Lindsey of Hoopeston, IL; three brothers, John (Paula) Cross of Scottsdale, AZ, Stanley Eugene Cross of Hoopeston, IL, and Michael Cross of Hoopeston, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jeff and Dora Floyd and one sister, Marcia Bradshaw.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday January 9, 2019 at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston, IL, with Rev. Tom Cici officiating.
