Humberto “Beto” Rubio, 59, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 10:42 A.M. Monday July 1, 2019 at his home in Hoopeston. He was born November 3, 1959, in Mexico, the son of Antonio Rubio- Olguin and Isaias Rubio-Ponce.
He is survived by his mother, Isaias Rubio-Ponce of Mexico; two daughters, Esmeralda (Victor) Rojas and Alexandria Rubio all of Hoopeston, IL; 5 sisters, Oralia, Martha, Evelia, Ma de la Luz, and Flor Rubio; 3 brothers, Melesio, Liverio, and Martin Rubio; 8 grandchildren, Mauricio, Dulce, Pilar, Maria, Dominic, America, Sofia, and Hugo; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Antonio Rubio Olguin and two sisters, Amelia and Efigenia Rubio.
Humberto worked for the Laborers’ Union Construction Local #274. He enjoyed spending time with friends and listening to music.
A visitation will be held 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. Tuesday July 9, 2019 at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL. Following the visitation, cremation rites will be accorded. Burial will be held in Mexico, following the cremation.
