Terry W. Meador, 70, of Collison, IL

Terry W. Meador, 70, of Collison, IL, passed away at 4:40 A.M. Sunday April 5, 2020 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.  He was born November 15, 1949, in Fairbury, IL, the son of Delbert Wilson and Evelyn (Crabtree) Meador.  He married Linda Kay Wilson on April 12, 1974 in Stringtown, IN.  She survives in Collison, IL.

 

He is also survived by one sister, Doris J. (Steve) Kelley of Cedar Falls, IA; one brother, Ben (Chris) Meador of Walton, IN; 4 nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant son, Delbert Eugene Meador; and one sister, Martha Meador.

 

Terry worked as a heavy equipment operator for the IUOE Local 841.  He was also a member of the Laborer’s International Union Hall in Urbana.  He will be remembered by many for selling his famous produce to many neighbors and friends.  He was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Hoopeston and later attended the Collison United Methodist Church.  He was also a member of the Collison Masonic Lodge #714 where he had served as a past master and was a 32nd Degree Mason.  Terry enjoyed fishing, gardening and canning produce.  He loved his dogs and especially enjoyed socializing with his family and friends.

 

Due to the current health concerns a private family graveside service will be held.

A visitation of family and friends will be held at a later date.
