Roy Kenneth Johnson, of Hoopeston, IL, died early the morning of April 4, 2020. Roy was a life-long resident of Hoopeston, IL, until 2015, but has been living in Indianapolis, IN for the past 5 years near his daughter and her family.
He was born on September 20, 1936, to Harold and Mildred Johnson, of Hoopeston, IL.
Roy is survived by his daughter, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one sister.
These survivors are daughter, Tricia (Phil), grandson, Nigel, granddaughter, Casey, and great-grandson, Caiden; all who live in Fishers, IN. His sister is Connie Kult (George), of Hoopeston, IL.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, sister Ellen, sister Joyce, brother Howard, and brother Butch, and nephew, Tony. Survivors of his siblings include Judy (Butch) Johnson of Lafayette, IN, and Myrna (Howard) Johnson, of Hoopeston, IL. He is also survived by many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Roy worked at FMC in Hoopeston, in many different roles including supervisor. He retired at the age of 55 in 1992. He had a love for Corvettes, and was a dedicated Chicago Cubs fan, win or lose! Roy also had a very special soft spot for every dog he ever met.
Funerals service to honor Roy will be private and scheduled at a future date. Roy will rest alongside his parents, Harold and Mildred, and sister, Ellen, in the Floral Hills cemetery, Hoopeston, IL.
