Janiece Lyvette Robinson, 59, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 10:38 A.M. Wednesday May 20, 2020 at her home.  She was born November 6, 1960, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Arnold Meime and Mildred Leona Woodard.  She married Torrey Robinson on November 23, 1995 in the presence of a judge in Danville, IL and later held a family ceremony on September 19, 2009 at her grandmother’s home in Hoopeston.  He survives in Hoopeston.

 

She is also survived by her mother and step-father, Mildred and Wade Stewart of Monticello, IL; one son, Jacob Cordes of Urbana, IL; two sisters, Nancy Harrison of Urbana, IL and Vicky Jones of Champaign, IL; three grandchildren, Angel Renee Bond, Tyler Nathaniel Cordes, and Landon Jack Lowe Cordes; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Kendra.

 

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Nelly Woodard.

 

Janiece enjoyed taking care of animals and gardening in her flower beds.

 

Cremation rites will be accorded, and no services will be held.
