Kent Parker Clementz, 73, of Potomac

Kent Parker Clementz, 73, of Potomac, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center, in Urbana, with his sister by his side.

Kent was born on April 8, 1947, to Ollie and Marie (Scott) Clementz, in Danville, Illinois.

Kent is survived by his son-Mark Clementz of Potomac, his sister- Kristen Clementz Burd and his "grandsons" Jaiden and Nate Burd of Potomac.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law- Sherman Burd.

 

Kent attended Potomac Schools and he worked at Chanute Air Force Base, in the roads and grounds.  He later worked as a CNA and security guard.  He attended the Middlefork United Methodist Church.  Kent loved fishing, driving the golf cart and stopping to visit friends along the way, where it might take him an hour to go two blocks.  His favorite thing to do was be with Jaiden and Nate, especially during all of their sports and cheering them on.  Kent was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs. 

 

According to his wishes cremation rites will be accorded by the Blurton Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at Potomac Cemetery, with Pastor George Desmond officiating.  A memorial service will be held at a later date in the fall.  Memorials may be made to the family to help assist them with funeral expenses. 

 

The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Kent's life.
