Larry Gene Whorrall, 78, of Bismarck, IL, passed away at 6:29 P.M. Tuesday, August 4, 2020.  He was born April 15, 1942, in Danville, the son of Miles and Louise (Lappin) Whorrall.  He married Sherrill Slevin on December 26, 1985 in Danville.  She survives.

 

He is also survived by five daughters, Melinda Maxwell (Gary Schmitt) of Potomac, IL, Tammy (Richard) Davis of Danville, IL, Kim (Charles) Cadle of IN, Lisa Lee of Danville, IL, and Rachel Whorrall (Danny Gill) of Bismarck, IL: six sons, Larry Dean Whorrall of Foley, AL, Keith Whorrall of Danville, IL, Miles (Lorretta) Whorrall of Danville, IL, Larry (Carmen) Whorrall of Bismarck, IL, Aarron  Whorrall (Brittany Dillion) of Bismarck, IL, and Travis Whorrall (Brittny Boswell) of Georgetown, IL: two sisters, Teresa (Henry) Clapp of Danville, IL and Arlene (Raymond) Poland of FL: two brothers, Lance (Paulette) Whorrall of Attica, IN and Wayne Whorrall of Danville, IL; forty-six grandchildren and fifty-nine great grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Beth Lee, one son, Larry Lee, one daughter – in – law, Kenita Lee, one sister Betty Reffett, two brothers, Jim Whorrall and Miles Whorrall, one sister -in – law, Marilyn Whorrall and one grandchild, Courtney Cadle.

 

For most of Larry’s life before his retirement, he installed carpet. He loved the great outdoors, working in his garden, horses and always lit up a room with his smile and his jokes.  He enjoyed spending time with his many friends especially his two longtime friends Gary Ritter and Gary Maxwell, his large family, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and most of all his wife Sherrill Whorrall. 

 

Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no services will be held.
