Barbara Marie Bell, 59, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 1:20 A.M. Monday April 6, 2020 at Carle Hoopeston Regional Health Center.  She was born September 13, 1960 in Lafayette, IN, the daughter of Larry Sr. and Ellen (High) Bell.  Her mother survives in Hoopeston, IL. 

 

She is also survived by one daughter, Amber (Jeff) Deck of Hoopeston, IL; one son, Steven Jr. (Amber) Bridgman of Murphysboro, IL; one sister, Della Bell (Ralph Baker) of Hoopeston, IL; two brothers, Larry Jr. (Garnet) Bell of Corpus Christi, TX and Robert (Lisa) Bell of Ambia, IN; four grandchildren, Chloe, Tucker, Steven III, and Makennah; and seven nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Bell Sr.; step-son, James Bridgman; and nephew, Brock Pennington. 

 

Barb worked as a CNA at the Hoopeston Nursing Home and later worked at Dollar General.  She was a volunteer for Hooves of Hope along with her grandchildren.  Her favorite hobbies included crocheting, sewing, doing puzzles and most of all, watching her television programs.  She loved collecting Coca-Cola and Harley Davidson merchandise.  Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. 

 

Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.  A visitation will be held 2:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL.  The memorial service will follow the visitation at 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home.  No burial will be held.
