Shirley Lee Meunier, 72, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away on Tuesday August 11, 2020 at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka, IL. She was born May 27, 1948, in Hoopeston, IL, the daughter of Clifton and Golden (Edwards) Creamer. She married Robert Elden Meunier in October 1996 and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by one step-daughter, Brenda (Dennis) Cardell of Altus, OK; three sisters, Susan Leppard of Hoopeston, IL, Jeannet Milton of Sapulpa, OK, and Kathy Smith of Poplar Bluff, MO; one brother, Terry Creamer of Pikeville, TN; three grandchildren, Tiffany Marshall, Dennis Cardell Jr, and Megan Cardell; two great-grandchildren, Brylee Cardell and Dennis Cardell III; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death in by her grandparents; parents; four sisters; one brother; and many nieces and nephews.
After graduating from Hoopeston High School, Shirley worked for Howard Industries in Milford, then TRW in Hoopeston and she later became a caretaker for many clients. She attended Chestnut Street Church of Christ where she was very active.
A visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. Wednesday August 19, 2020 at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL. The funeral service will follow the visitation and will begin at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor John Morris officiating. Burial will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Danville National Cemetery.
