Marshall Savage, 77, of Milford, IL

Marshall Savage, 77, of Milford, IL, passed away at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday August 11, 2020 at his home.  He was born April 23, 1943 in Glasgow, KY, the son of Shelby and Bertha (Hunt) Savage.   

He is survived by two sisters, Linda (Tom) Habel of Shelbyville, TN and Donna (Bill) Hudson of Hoopeston, IL; brother, Gail Savage of Hoopeston, IL; brother-in-law, Tom Lowe of Cumby, TN; and nieces and nephews, Angel Savage, Trent and Patsy Savage, David Kochell, Joe Savage, Stephen Hyde, Josey and Kelsie Vaughn, Eric Habel, Buddy Habel, Bryan and Sissy Biddy, Tommy Habel, Tim and Beth Clem, and Natosha Menschel. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Carol Lowe; and two brothers, Junior “Doggie” Savage and Larry “Cotton” Savage. 

Marshall worked at Howard Industries in Milford until his retirement.  He then became a caregiver for a very special lady, Elizabeth Phelps and he always had a smile on his face when he spoke of her.  Everyone that met Marshall could sense how amazing he was.  He enjoyed gardening, working on cars, and mowing.  He had a group of friends who were very special to him and they enjoyed going to different restaurants together and were always laughing at and with each other.  Marshall was loved and appreciated by all who knew him. 

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday August 24, 2020 at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston with Rev. Gary Milton officiating. 

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. 

Anderson Funeral Home in Hoopeston is handling the arrangements.
