Tamera Sue "Tami" Crawford, 58, of Hoopeston

Tamera Sue “Tami” Crawford, 58, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 11:58 P.M. Sunday November 8, 2020 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL.  She was born December 13, 1961, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Jack and Ruth (Ingram) Neathery.  She married Marvin Crawford on December 23, 1989 at the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Hoopeston.  He preceded her in death in 2008. 

 

She is survived by her mother, Ruth Neathery of Hoopeston, IL; three daughters, Erin Crawford-Warns (Steve Warns) of Odgen, IL, Maggie Crawford (Jared Moran) Champaign, IL, and Molly Crawford (Zach Nuss) of Hoopeston, IL; one son, Marvin Crawford of Hoopeston, IL; three sisters, Jill Zollar-Bell (Brian Bell) of Naples, FL, Ava Johnson of Wellington, IL, and twin sister, Pamela Neathery-Patterson (George Patterson) of Hoopeston, IL; four grandchildren, Gracelyn Warns, Shelby Warns, Miley Crawford, and Marvin Jack Crawford; and many nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, Jack Neathery; brother, Robin Neathery; and brother-in-law, Tony Johnson. 

 

Tami worked as a medical secretary and was also a homemaker.  She was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Hoopeston, where she also helped with Bible school.  Her hobbies included making crafts, doing word searches, and attending concerts.  Tami enjoyed praying for others and updating family and friends about the weather but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. 

 

Cremation rites will be accorded.  A visitation will be held 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Tuesday November 17, 2020 at the First Christian Church 502 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL.  A private memorial service will be held with burial at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston. We kindly ask that face coverings be worn, and social distancing is maintained by those who attend the visitation and/or service. 

 

Memorials may be made to the family of Tami Crawford.
