Donald Garrison, 72, of Rossville, IL, passed away at 10:42 A.M. Monday December 28, 2020 at Carle Hoopeston Regional Health Center.  He was born July 11, 1948, in Cheneyville, IL, the son of John Homer and Mary Jane (Calvert) Garrison. 

He is survived by one sister, Bertha (Herman) Obenland; four brothers, Homer (Jeanette) Garrison, James (Janice) Garrison, Ronald (Donna) Garrison, and John (Kristy) Garrison; and many nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by a special friend, Susie Smith. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Betty Wells and Mary Bolin; and two brothers, Charles Garrison and Tom (Joyce) Garrison. 

Donald worked as a grinder in the finishing department for General Motors for 25 years until his retirement.  He attended the Rossville Church of Christ.  His hobbies included fishing, raising chickens and rabbits and racing race cars and hot rods.    

A public visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. Monday January 4, 2021 at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL.  We kindly ask that face coverings be worn, and social distancing is maintained by those who attend the visitation.  A private graveside service will be held.
