Clarence W. White, 77, of Rossville, IL, passed away at 2:58 P.M. Wednesday January 13, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was born May 24, 1943, in Whitewood, KY, the son of James Alfred and Gladys Mae (Nunn) White. He married Chris Pearson on May 18, 2012 at the Vermilion County Courthouse in Danville. She survives in Rossville.
He is also survived by two daughters, Debra (Brent) Rainwater of rural Rossville, IL and Heather Bailey (Shane Strubberg) of Bismarck, IL; two sisters, Judy Blakeman of Greensburg, KY and Marilyn Morgan; one brother, Porter White of Louisville, KY; nine grandchildren, Candy (Abraham) Vargas, Brandi (Allen) Drennan, Dalton Rainwater, Kaydence, Carter, Kinzley, Kambrey, and Kaizley Bailey, and Tristan Strubberg; four great-grandchildren, Bishop Drennan and Makayla, Hannah, and Jackson Vargas; his father-in-law, Bill (Rita) Pearson; one sister-in-law, Cindy (Jeff) Sloan; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Gordon, Kenneth “Chunk”, Danny, and Carlos White; and three sisters, Brenda Thomas, Rose Morgan, and Ida Lois White.
Clarence worked at General Motors doing many different jobs until his retirement. He enjoyed antique tractors and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Cremation rites will be accorded, and no services will be held.
