Frances I. Remole, 95, of Potomac

Frances I. Remole, 95, of Potomac, passed away at 7:54 a.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, in Danville.

Fran was born on September 2, 1925, in Rankin, the daughter of Frank and Gladys (Judy) Auth. She married Delbert Remole on September 14, 1947, in Potomac. He survives.

She is also survived by her four children- Steve (Susan) Remole of Oakwood, Connie (Don) Rutledge of Danville, Chris (Randy) Hird of Danville and Stan (Mary) Remole of Potomac; eleven grandchildren- Laura (Rob) Ruch, Ryan (Elaine) Remole, Scott (Brittney) Remole, Jill (Matt) Smith, Joy (Jason) Anderson, Jeff (Hanna) Alexander, Aaron (Amy) Hird, Brandon (Jill) Hird, Denton (Mariah) Hird, Steven (Kerry) Remole and Michael (Gabby) Remole; 29 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers- Gene and Maurice Auth, sister- JoAnne Boyd and one infant brother.

Fran graduated from Potomac High School. She worked with Delbert for years as a partner in all of his business ventures. She was a member of the Potomac Church of the Nazarene, where she served on the church board, District Missionary Council and Sunday School teacher for 50 years. She was also a member of the Potomac Women's Club and a past 4-H Leader. Fran enjoyed sewing, fishing, volunteering at the school and loved entertaining friends and family. She also loved watching her grandchildren play sports. Fran loved spending time with people and always had a smile on her face.

A Celebration of Frances' Life will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2021, at the Potomac Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Jeff Alexander and Pastor Randy Holden officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, at the church. Burial will follow the services in the Potomac Cemetery. Due to current Covid-19 health concerns masks and social distancing will be required. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Potomac Church of the Nazarene or Hooves of Hope.
