Amber Michelle Hickman, 34, of Covington, Indiana, passed away at 9:30 a.m. est. Saturday, February 13, 2021, at her home.

Amber was born on February 21, 1986, in Danville, the daughter of Scott Hickman and Lynette (Williams) Gherna.

She is survived by her mother- Lynette Gherna; fiancé- Morgan Peaslee of Covington; step-mom- Phyllis Hickman of Wellington; two sons- Xavier and Elais Peaslee both of Covington; three brothers- Nathan Gherna of Danville. Jordan Gherna of Danville and Austin Hickman of Wellington; sister- Autumn (Charlie) Hahne of Minnesota; three step-brothers- Marshall, Matt and Mark Peaslee all of Danville; grandfather- Wilbur “Tack” Hickman of Jamesburg; and lots of extended family who she loved to spend time with.

She was preceded in death by her father- Scott Hickman, maternal grandmother- Alice Williams and paternal grandmother- Charlene Hickman.

Amber graduated from Bismarck-Henning High School, in 2004. She worked as a USPS rural mail carrier, in the Covington area. Amber enjoyed drawing and loved being outdoors. She enjoyed life and loved being a mom. Amber also loved spending time with her family.

A Celebration of Amber’s Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Morningstar Church, in Rossville, with Pastor Dan Mikel officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Memorials may be made to the family to assist them with the funeral expenses.
