Estella Pearl Crawford, 91, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 1:47 P.M. Monday April 19, 2021 at her home. She was born March 23, 1930 in Hoopeston, the daughter of Altas B. Cox and Eula (Grismore) Cox McBride. She married Frank Crawford Sr. on September 29, 1946 in Hoopeston. He preceded her in death on January 12, 1972.
She is survived by three daughters, Marcella “Jacki” Romine of Kannapolis, NC, Missy (Elroy) Huckleby of Lafayette, IN, and Melinda (Steve) Crawford of Bismarck, IL; four sons, Frank (Darla) Crawford of Hoopeston, IL, Jack (Marilyn) Crawford of Williamsport, IN, Alan (Selena) Crawford of Hoopeston, IL and Mark Crawford of Lafayette, IN; 19 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Marsha Wilburn and Maria Crawford; four sisters; one brother; one granddaughter, Lori Gress; and two grandsons, Frank Crawford III and Travis Crawford.
Estella worked as an LPN at Hoopeston Hospital and later worked at the VA Hospital in Danville for over ten years before her retirement. While working at the VA she was awarded LPN of the year. She also served as a volunteer at the Hoopeston Multi Agency. Estella’s hobbies included crocheting, quilting, and embroidery. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.

A visitation will be held 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Saturday April 24, 2021 at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL. The funeral service will follow the visitation and will begin at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Chaplain Glen Corbly officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.
