Alice Elizabeth Thompson, 96, of Potomac, passed away at 9:20 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Carle Foundation Hospital, in Urbana.

Alice was born on March 13, 1925, in Conover, North Carolina, the daughter of Lee D. and Carrie Pearl (Cline) Hunsucker.  She married Robert C. Thompson on August 24, 1952, in Washington D.C.  He preceded her in death on July 7, 1989.

She is survived by one daughter- Patricia (John) Morris of Portage, Indiana and one son- Arthur (Laura) Thompson of Brimfield, Illinois; three grandchildren- Chris (Kathy) Freville, Emily (Lucas) Melton and Carol Thompson; and two great-grandchildren- Olivia Freville and Alexander Melton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and two sisters.

Alice was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, in Hoopeston.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2021, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, in Hoopeston, with Pastor Phillip Callahan officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, at the church.  Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2021, at Greenwood Cemetery, in Amherst, Wisconsin.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home, in Potomac to assist them in honoring Mrs. Thompson's life.  Condolences may be sent to the family on her everlasting memorial page at:  www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.
