Steven Carl Brauman, 58, of Piper City passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021 at his home. He was born on December 31, 1962 in Fairbury, the son of Fred Carl Brauman and Retha Louise Edwards.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Retha and Berwyn Stephens of Piper City; Cameron Icenogle of Rantoul, who was like a son to Steve; two sisters, Connie Finnegan of Watseka and Karen Moreland of Gilman; two step-brothers, Travis Stephens of Piper City and Shane Stephens of Wataga; one step-sister, Tracy Godsey of Sioux Falls, SD; four nieces, Shawnee Brauman of Essex, Shayla Brauman of Westerville, OH, Sheri Hull of Piper City, and Cheyenne Stephens of Wheeling; and one nephew, Dustin Brauman of Piper City.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred “Fritz” Brauman.

Steve enjoying texting and writing. He loved his family dearly.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. funeral service at the United Methodist Church in Piper City. Rev. Liz Reis will officiate. Burial will follow at Brenton Twp. Cemetery in Piper City.
