Mary Jean Harris, 78, of Rossville, IL, passed away at 8:05 A.M. on Sunday August 29, 2021, at her home.  She was born May 22, 1943, in Connelsville, PA, the daughter of John and Florence Alberta (Robaugh) Fritsky.  She married Robert Marshall Harris on October 26, 1963, in Connelsville, PA.  He preceded her in death. 

She is survived by two daughters, Gwen (Rich) Rector of Bloomington, IL and Paige (Oliver) Tolentino of Las Vegas, NV; two sons, Todd (Debbie) Harris of Danville, IL and Matthew Harris of Rossville, IL; 14 grandchildren, Marshall Harris, Erica Tuttle, Hayley Harris, Grace Harris, Isabelle Harris, Audrey Harris, Elena Harris, Madeline Harris, Reid Rector, Mackenzie Rector, Simon Tolentino, Zoe Tolentino, Aubrey Tolentino, and Reese Tolentino; four great-grandchildren, Gage Tuttle, Zayne, Jacksen, and Mckinleigh Harris; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Alberta Everett, Nancy Fritsky, and Judy Dian Homer; and one brother, John Fritsky Jr. 

Mary worked at BlueCross BlueShield in Danville, until her retirement.  She was a member of the Rossville United Methodist Church where she was very active, helping with funeral meals and other various duties.  She enjoyed working in her yard and making crafts with her grandchildren.  Most of all, Mary loved her family and was very involved in all their activities. 

A visitation will be held 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Saturday September 4, 2021, at the Rossville United Methodist Church 116 Maple St. Rossville, IL.  The funeral service will follow the visitation and will begin at 12:00 P.M. Saturday at the church with Pastor Chris Quick officiating.  Burial will follow in Rossville Cemetery in Rossville, IL.
