Louise Morgan, 97, of Hoopeston, IL, formerly of Rossville, IL, passed away at 1:44 A.M. Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at her home. She was born January 5, 1924, in Bradfordsville, KY, the daughter of Bluford and Mattie (Evans) Tharp. She married Felix Morgan on September 19, 1942 in Gilpin, KY. He survives.
She is also survived by one daughter, Brenda (Gary) Weinard of Hoopeston; one son, Terry (Barbara) Morgan of Hoopeston; four sisters, Beulah Burchell of Bradfordsville, KY, Bobbie Lee Zottman of Lebanon, KY, Wanda Marlow of Bradfordsville, KY, and Mary Rita (Fred) McClure of Bradfordsville, KY; five grandchildren, Kevin (Rhonda) Weinard, Brian Weinard, Matthew (Gina) Morgan, Lea Morgan, and Quentin (Mary) Morgan, eleven great grandchildren, seven great – great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and two special cousins, Betty Kincheloe and Anne Mardis both of Campbellsville, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Louise taught school in a one room school house. She then helped her husband on the farm. She was a member of the Rossville Church of God. Louise loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the Rossville Cemetery in Rossville, IL with Pastor Kevin Purdy officiating.
