Robert L. Watson, 85, of Paxton passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center in Urbana.

He was born on October 1, 1936 in Ludlow, the son of Roy and Laveta (Wheeler) Watson. He married Glenna Mae McCracken and she preceded him in death on April 22, 2014. He was also preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Raymond Watson and Jerry Watson.

He is survived by seven children, Stanley (Sylvia) Watson of Paxton, Bertha Watson of Paxton, Bobby Watson of Paxton, Pat (Rick) Gooden of Loda, Robin (Vernon) Price of Melvin, Roy (Melissa) Watson of Loda, and Terry (Brenda) Watson of Paxton; two sisters, Wilma (Denny) Janssen of Paxton and Betty Wisher of Loda; two brothers, Kenny Watson of Paxton and Wendell (Lilly) Watson of Paxton; seventeen grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Robert enjoyed his family and grandchildren.

Cremation rites accorded by Cox-Knapp Funeral Home in Paxton and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
