Howard "Mark" Bartlow, 64, of Oakwood

Howard "Mark" Bartlow, 64, of Oakwood, passed away at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, in Danville.

Mark was born on May 21, 1957, in Champaign, Illinois, the son of Howard Lyle and Vire Elizabeth (Johnson) Bartlow.  He married Marcey Lou Rose on May 12, 1976, in Bismarck.  She preceded him in death on March 28, 2011.

He is survived by two daughters- Robin Bartlow of Urbana and Holly (Brandon) Smith of Columbus, Ohio; one son- Eric (Alison) Bartlow of Williamsport, Indiana; eight grandchildren- Myah and Caraline Bartlow, Garrett and Kendall Smith, Arriana and Aria Coleman and Alanna and Kingsley Burden; two brothers- Stacy (Marci) Bartlow of Armstrong and Forrest "Frosty" Bartlow of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; one sister- Debbie Arnold of Bowling Green, Missouri; niece- Alyssa Bartlow; two nephews- Jim and Mike Branstetter; and numerous other nieces and nephews from the Missouri area. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and half brother- Bob Johnson.

Mark worked for 38 years at Supervalu, in Urbana, until his retirement.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, working on cars and collecting antiques. He was also an avid Illini basketball fan.

A Celebration of Mark's Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Blurton Funeral Home, in Potomac.  Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.  Following the services cremation rites will be accorded and a private family burial will be held at Partlow Cemetery, in Armstrong.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Mark's life.  Condolences may be sent to the family on his everlasting memorial page at:  www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.
